I always have been mesmerized by the Rubik’s cube. I thought that Erno Rubik, the Hungarian architecture professor and his three-dimensional cube, are absolutely undefeated when it comes to children toys and brain twisters. Rubik’s cube is so simple on the outside, yet so complex on the inside.
This work of art shows a Mister and Madame in the form of Rubik’s cubes, which in fact stand for, the psychological exemplification of the human character and temper, as well as their personality. If we believe that personality is a unique combination of acquired features, then the all-encompassing idea of Rubik’s cube is able to explain the entire complexity of these two individuals.
As the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is up to the observer to recognize the hidden meaning behind the obvious and to define these two imaginary individuals.
